Challenges

Short-term scheduling and long-term planning in the same environment.
Several purchased parts and wide range of production variants as a result of fully customisable products.
Common article numbers: for certain functions several parts are acceptable. Material planning has to be able to handle these groups of parts.

Solution

  • Two different models have been implemented:
    • one for short-term scheduling
    • and one for long-term planning

Timetable-like schedule for assembly lines.
Advanced tool to define quantity and due date for purchase orders.
Improved accuracy on estimate free capacities on long-term planning.
